Thanks to everyone for making the effort to turn out for the field day activities whether on the Friday or Saturday or both.
The weather was very kind to us for the build up and right through to strip down.
Our club station is once again among the leading contestants, we made 639 contacts mainly on 40 and 20 metres with only a handful on 80 metres (what a contrast to a few years back). The log is entered on the RSGB site and final results should be in within a few weeks. The plan was always to make as many contacts as possible but the DX leaning of our set up might carry us through on countries worked multipliers, we will see.
On a brief scan we worked 45 countries on 20, 28 on 40 metres, 3 on 15 metre and 4 on 80 metres.
Best dx was VK on 20 metres long path Saturday 8:00 am.
We were not able to work the grave yard shift and closed the station at 1:00 am until 8:00 am on Sunday morning.
